San Francisco, March 22–24, 2016

Members of our Oklahoma Rural Schools Research Alliance participated in three poster sessions at the Carnegie Summit on March 22–24, 2016. The sessions highlighted how REL Southwest and the alliance are collaborating to improve rural education in Oklahoma.

Each session drew more than 50 visitors, who discussed topics ranging from how REL Southwest engages diverse stakeholders in a common endeavor to the alliance's ongoing projects, which focus on issues such as teacher recruitment, retention, and professional development in rural schools. Serving as presenters were Haidee Williams, REL Southwest alliance liaison, and alliance members Sharon Dean, University of Oklahoma K–20 Center, and Kathren Stehno, Oklahoma Office of Educational Quality and Accountability.
